Review Policy
Valid reviews • moderation • removal • right of reply
Effective: 20 April 2026 Version 1.0 Published by VDGT Consultancy BV
1. Purpose
This Review Policy describes when a review is valid, how reviews are moderated, and the conditions under which they may be removed. It forms an integral part of the Terms (Seekers), the Terms (Helpers) and the Service Agreement.
2. Who can submit a review
Only a seeker who has fully completed and paid for a session may submit a review for the helper concerned. One review per seeker per session is permitted. Reviews are submitted within 30 days of the end of the session.
3. What makes a review valid
3.1 Content requirements
- Based on the seeker's own, direct experience during the reviewed session;
- Factual and in good faith;
- Focused on the service delivered (content, clarity, usefulness, professionalism), not on the person of the helper.
3.2 Form requirements
- Rating score between 1 and 5;
- Optional written explanation in Dutch, English or French;
- No personal data of third parties, no contact details, no external links.
4. Prohibited content in reviews
The following reviews will be refused or removed:
- False, misleading or fabricated experiences;
- Purchased, exchanged or self-posted reviews;
- Defamatory, slanderous or insulting statements (art. 443–444 Belgian Criminal Code);
- Discriminatory statements on a protected ground (see Anti-discrimination Policy);
- Personal attacks, threats, hate speech;
- Data that breach the privacy of the helper or third parties;
- Reviews that do not concern the session itself.
5. Right of reply of the helper
The helper is notified of each review and may post a single public reply within 14 days. The reply is subject to the same content requirements as reviews (§3) and the prohibitions in §4.
6. Moderation and removal
6.1 Reporting
Reviews breaching §4 may be reported by the helper, the seeker or a third party via the "Report" button or [email protected].
6.2 Assessment
VDGT Consultancy BV assesses the report within 5 working days and decides to keep, amend or remove the review. The decision is communicated to both parties with reasons.
6.3 Proactive removal
VDGT Consultancy BV may also remove reviews without prior report upon becoming aware of a manifest breach of §4 or of the Community Guidelines.
6.4 Appeal
A moderation decision may be appealed within 14 days via [email protected]. The appeal is handled by a team member who was not involved in the original decision.
7. Display and aggregation
The average score and number of reviews of a helper are shown on the helper's profile. VDGT Consultancy BV may exclude extreme outliers (both high and low) from the aggregate where manipulation is suspected, pending the moderation decision.
8. Reviews as a basis for suspension
Persistently low ratings may, in accordance with §8 of the Terms (Helpers), lead to the suspension or termination of a helper account. A single low rating never leads to suspension.
9. Changes and contact
Changes are communicated 30 days in advance by e-mail. VDGT Consultancy BV — KBO 1004820426 — [email protected]
