When online help for bleeding a radiator is useful
A radiator that's hot at the bottom but cold at the top, rooms that won't warm up, gurgling or knocking when the heating comes on, or radiators that feel cold after you drained the system. If you can show the radiator and your boiler gauge, a helper can help.

- Do I need to repressurise the boiler after bleeding?
- Often, yes — bleeding can drop the pressure. A helper will show you how to read the gauge and top it back up to the right level using the filling loop.
- What if bleeding doesn't fix the cold radiator?
- If the radiator stays cold at the bottom, or several radiators are cold, it can be sludge, a stuck valve or the pump. A helper will tell you honestly when it's worth a certified heating engineer.
